Why
are the U.S. and Israel threatening Syria ? (GULF News-Dubaï) by
Patrick Seale, analyst and author considered on the Middle East. It in particular
published works on the contemporary history of Syria
and a biography of Abu Nidal. Syria is currently the object of a campaign of intimidation
and psychological warfare on behalf of the United States and Israel which seem to be the
first step towards a future walk of the troops states-uniennes towards Damas. The
opposition of José-Maria Aznar and Tony Blair seems to have to delay this attack, but
Washington and London nevertheless informed Syria which it was going to have to adapt her
behavior to « nouvelles the réalités » of the area. For crédibiliser this
warning, the United States bombarded the center commercial of Baghdad and half-compartment
the pipeline which connects Iraq to Syria.
This countryside is justified by fears of Washington concerning the future of its presence
in Iraq. Indeed, the United States is afraid to be confronted with a resistance similar so
that knew Israel in Lebanon. That would start their imperial project and would erode the
popular support inside the country. However so that this Iraqi
resistance is organized, it needs a foreign help, which could be Syria well. It is thus
necessary to understand the threats in Syria like a prohibition made in Damas interfere
with the Iraqi crisis.
Iraq is today a destroyed country which had to undergo four weeks of bombardments after 12
years of sanctions, a first war against the United States and the war against Iran. From
now on Iraq is subjected
to the plunderings and the destruction, sometimes encouraged by Americans according to
certain testimonys. All that to feed the thirst for oil and the juicy contracts of
reconstruction ?By taking Iraq, the néo-conservatives and the Zionists of the
Bush administration want to build a State faib which will feed the benefit of the
companies states-uniennes and will not oppose any more the plans of Washington and
Such-Aviv. Ariel Sharon hopes well to benefit from the wars of the United States to
transform the Middle East into an area where Israel will have the monopoly of the weapons
of massive destruction. This is why it pushes the United States to attack Syria and Iran.
Israel also hopes that that will deprive the Palestinian groups of resistance of their
support, even will place Lebanon in the Israeli bosom. That would involve the creation of
a Palestinian State at the thank you of Israel, i.e. the constitution of a small Israeli
empire under the protection of the total empire states-unien. (transmitted by

« Téhéran is our next cible »
Tehran is our next target, The Globe and Mail (Canada) Michael Ledeen is a regular

National. He is the author of The War Against the Terror Masters. He holds the pulpit of
Freedom in American Enterprise Institute. For this reason, it was one of the principal
organizers of the dinner of official reception of last 26 February during which president
Bush made his speech on the future of Iraq. Michael Ledeen is one of the experts of the
cabinet of public relations Benador Associates.
The war against terrorism must continue and Iraq, like recalled it the president George
W Bush was not that a battle in this war. Iraq was not most dangerous besides of the
terrorist States. This doubtful honor returns Iran, to creator of modern Islamic terrorism
with Hezbollah, most fatal from the terrorist organizations in the world,
and then comes Syria. It is necessary to change the modes which control these countries,
if not they will attack us again and try to destabilize Iraq to prevent us from rebuilding
it. Extremely fortunately, the war against these two countries is not necessary and the
attacks polishes ic should be enough. We should support the opposition to these modes.
These two dictatorships are vulnerable and an Iranian survey shows that 70 % of the
population are hostile with the « mollahcratie ». Iran and Syria benefitted
from the year past to
organize terrorist attacks and popular risings counter the United States, on the model of
Lebanon, hoping to make us flee. Many Iraqi leaders left towards Iran and from there to
Sudan, even if Saddam Hussein in person left towards Damas. There are few chances that
initiative the diplomatic Powell Hake in Damas functions and it is thus necessary to
politically launch a democratic revolution which will start with Iran.
