Alaska,
State federate of the United States, has just adopted a resolution being opposed to the
application of the USA Patriot Act. Concrètement, the Parliament of Alaska prohibited
with the local governments the pointing of the citizens on racial criteria, as well as the
creation of files of information on the social, religious
opinions and policies of the individuals and organizations (except for the criminal
investigations). This resolution also prohibits with the police force of State the
participation in investigations, spinning mills, detention, seizure of material, documents
or files in the absence of serious suspicions of criminal activity such as defined in the
law of the State of Alaska and even if Patriot Act authorizes them.Since the
introduction of Patriot Act, October 26 2001, associations of defense of civil freedoms
were massively mobilized with State-Plain to denounce this attack without precedent,
including during the maccar
thysme, against the personal freedoms. Many counties and communes were opposed to the
application of this law and, last 29 April, the State of Hawaii adopted a similar
resolution. With the resolution of the State of Alaska, there are from now on 13 million
citizens states-uniens whose local authorities refuse to apply the federal law of the USA
Patriot Act. At the time when it prepares a hardening of the legislation, the Bush
administration could not be unaware of a long time this sling which becomes extensive.
